I really appreciate your support and I'm flattered that you are following my ramblings.
I'm excited tonight to let you all see my new purchase! I couldn't help buy this gorgeous floral wall hanging from Marianne Cook. Her Etsy shop is full of wonderful floral arrangements which are eye-wateringly beautiful. This is the picture from her shop, Marianne26, as I couldn't get a good enough photo tonight to show the detail of her roses. I found out about her work after reading an article about her on the AIM blog, which I've got on my blog list, plus their magazine (no.50) is now free to download.

I did manage to pop it on my Easter shop door just to see what it looks like and isn't it wonderful?

The lavender sprigs are so tiny it unbelievable. I tried my hand at lavender last year and mine turned out to be of the monster variety:) I have (another) house with a porch and that's where I'm going to put this hanging. The NEXT unfinished project to be completed!!  Marianne has a website and she has lots of beautiful flowers there to view. Thank you Marianne!!!

This other house I'm about to dig out (started again shamefully not finished) will be sort of shabby chic in style, cottage-seaside, creams and lots of pale blues - so I can see me visiting Marianne's shop again. This is a picture of it from a dealer website, it's not my house, which is far from finished! There's a bit of 'kit-bashing' going on too with my house, with the emphasis on bashing!! - I'll post some pictures of it after I've done a bit more to the wee shop before I put it away. Till then, soon ;)

Happy Easter!!......

I've made a little progress with my Easter Shop, which after much thought (sarcasm here) I decided to call 'Easter' - not too original but it's to the point and the six letters split nicely on either side of centre plaque! ;)

I touched up the gold paint, painted extra scenery to enhance bunny images, put up little antique lace curtains and painted some shop furniture to match. I'm going to decorate these too, but enough for today.

I also made extra shelving out of poster board above and below the window to give me extra display space. Now all I have to do is fill it.

His little tummy was filled with pellets to give him some cuddly weight and little whites were added to the eyes, then whiskers added too. 'He' was nearly a 'she' as I had originally wanted the ears to hang downwards like floppy ears which gave the bunny a more 'girlie' look but after playing around with them I opted for this look. Cheekyness personified I think! If you ever get the chance I'd highly recommend taking part in one of these workshops at Silly Bears, it was a wonderful day all round. The shop is glorious, filled with artist bears displayed amongst antique toys and on vintage furniture. It really was a treat. Thank you Julieann and Jenny!!

Cup cakes to match !!...

Julieann was a wonderful hostess and refreshments were served all day, including a wonderful lunch comprising of home made carrot & coriander soup, tasty filled rolls washed down with bubbly Bucks Fizz. Later afternoon tea was served with a selection of beautifully decorated (and delicious) cup-cakes especially made for the day.

Meet my new Bunny rabbit....

This little bunny was made in Aberdeen on Friday at a workshop hosted by Silly Bears. I traveled up on Thursday and attended an all-day workshop hosted by Julieann of Silly Bears shop, the workshop was led by Jenny Johnson of Three O'clock Bears. We all worked very hard all day, stitching, stuffing, painting eyes, creating different ear styles, each creating a very different bunny from the one pattern which Jenny had created and individually stitched for each of us, or we would never have finished, such a lot of preparatory work by her.
