Here's what I've been making to go in my roombox...

Hand-painted Crinoline Lady screen at back, decoupage screen on right, with coordinating dinner mat rack with 4 mats in centre with two mats in front and wee napkin holder at left.
two little hand-painted Crinoline lady mirrors. The rectangular one is a chipped mirror I saved from a compact. The circular mirror with 'Barbola' bow is just under 2 inches in diameter and is getting more like those I want to sell....soon .Barbola flower frames drying out at front....

I found an unpainted fire surround in the 'to do' box so grouped items around it to check scale....I then HAD to go find dishes and cakes to set the scene further (playtime:).....
I made the cakes on table a long time ago so they were a bit smushed and I think the coffee set is a little bit too big - but it is the right colour - Nile Green - just right for that period. The cake stand in background is one I bought this morning at a boot sale, blue glass plate in cut metal frame, there's another with green plate beside it - I can't walk past cake stands! It's been a glorious day here today, sunny in Scotland - two words not usually used in same sentence, long may it last.

Found this illustration of a 1930s livingroom

I recently bought an 'Interiors' book published in 1957 with illustrations of various rooms from 1600's to '50s. This is the late 1920s-30s room. It has a mixture of Deco, Country Cottage, and Rococo Revival themes - going to use this as inspiration for (yet another:) room box.

I want this.....
